We discover the surroundings of the Estany de Sils with a guided tour
The short route will be made around the Estany stopping at the different observatories that we find in the environment. During the walk we will know the natural area from different aspects: its history, fauna, flora, the projects that are being carried out and, we will enjoy this beautiful landscape!

The seasons in the Estany de Sils
The Estany de Sils has become in recent years a natural space of reference when it comes to observing migratory birds. Spring and autumn are strategic seasons to identify bird species that stop to rest and recover strength before continuing its route of thousands of km.
The extraordinary biodiversity of the Estany ensures food for all these species and is a unique opportunity to learn to observe and identify them. The idea is for participants to act as naturalists to help the biologists of the Fundació Emys to identify which birds are found in the Estany de Sils according to the time of year and we will distinguish migratory birds from sedentary ones.

The Estany de Sils and its biodiversity
A few years ago the Estany, previously desiccated, was recovered so that the Emys turtles, but also migratory birds and other species, could have a good place to leave. But the area has to be checked to verify that they are still living and it is a good place, even for those who are just passing through. That's why we need your help. The participants will act as naturalists to help the biologists of the Fundació Emys to discover what living beings inhabit the Estany de Sils and what ecological status it presents.
